The scripture says “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” – 2 Tim 3:1-5
The following was written by Daniel Roberts, the creator of this site:
With the Lord’s help and I trust drawing on the Spirit of Grace, I seek to present a few summaries and snippets of the ministry of John Nelson Darby and others, which I believe God has given His Church for these latter days.
Christendom is full of wrong teaching, building on man’s endeavour and promoting systems of human organisation. Well-intentioned, and even godly people are ensnared into promoting these systems where the Word of God in the Holy Bible is set aside.
There is a Pathway for the Believer in Difficult Times
The writer meets with a few believers who seek to answer to the Lord in what is a ‘broken day’ a breakdown of which I, and many others will admit to having had part in. We have to eat the sin-offering in regard to it. We seek to have no leader but the Lord Himself, no written authority but the Holy Scriptures, and no headquarters but heaven. And we are waiting for His soon coming! Local gatherings, whilst bound in what is universal, are but a minute proportion of the whole of the Lord’s assembly, working together in love recognising the unscriptural nature of a single appointed human leader – vicar, pastor, minister, priest or what you will.
Sosthenes – the Brother
This site was built under the pseudonym of ‘Sosthenes’. Even if he was once the ruler of the synagogue, all Sosthenes wanted after his conversion to Christianity was to be known as a ” brother”. Daniel didn’t want to hide in anonymity, and willingly shared his true identity with any serious enquirer and fellow brother or sister in the Lord. He didn’t want to be publicly promoting a particular group of believers. He just wanted to be, as John Nelson Darby has inscribed on his tombstone: ‘unknown yet well-known’.
We value feedback – enquiring and when appropriate correcting. But we have no desire to get into arguments – “But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God” 1 Cor 11:16

Note on Bible Translations
Normally two translations will be used (1) – KJV where the original author used it, and for public and introductory matters and (2) – the Darby version is used for accuracy. In French normally the Darby version is used and in German the Elberfeld versions will be referred to. If for any reason another version is cited, the version will be referenced.
